Ashley Currin is a Georgia native and currently resides in Smyrna, GA with her husband and two daughters, Iris (6) and Maggie-Mae (13). Ashley is a member of Cumberland Community Church, where she has served in the preschool ministry for the past five years. Additionally, Ashley worked at Cumberland Community Church during the time of their weekday childcare program. Ashley also attended Brenau University where she studied Early Childhood Education. She is currently a student at Georgia State University, studying Media and Mass Communications. Still Ashley's true passion is for children and she is grateful to be a part of the WEE preschool. When Ashley is not spending time with her precious students, she is somewhere between brunch and hiking with her family, attending a concert with her husband or running live sound production for her church's youth ministry.

This is Agata Hopek 2nd year as a teacher for our three-year-old students. She holds a master’s degree in physical education from the University of Szczecin, Poland. Agata is married and has two children, Ally and Kris. She enjoys hiking, kayaking and spending time at the pool with her family.

Hi, my name is Emily Bagwell this is my second-year teaching at the WEE school. I’m excited to be back with the 1’s and starting with the 2’s! I have lived in Mableton my entire life and have visited Mt. Harmony’s church services over the years. When I’m not working at the school, I enjoy watching movies, bowling, discovering new places and spending time outdoors. I’m looking forward to the new school year and helping the children grow in preparation for the years to come.

We were blessed to have Erica join our team in 2017 in our Kindergarten classroom. Erica went to Georgia State after high school and has been working with children since she was 18 years old in after school programs, summer day camps, and pre-k/elementary age programs. She has experience working with a variety of ages but loves working with her 4 and 5-year old’s! Erica has lived in Georgia all her life and is married with three children, Gavin is an active soldier in the Army, Ryland (14) and Jaxon (7). In her spare time, she loves to relax and watch a good movie, but primarily loves to spend time with her family. When asked why she teaches, she states that she loves to explore things through a child’s eyes!

My name is Kassy Boleman, and I am beyond thrilled, excited, overjoyed, and most of all blessed to join the Mt. Harmony WEE family! I cannot wait to meet all the little brilliant minds, hearts, and personalities this year! I am from the Douglas County area and have been since I was 8 years old. I graduated from Lithia Springs High School and attended Mercer University in the early education program.

 I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the best teachers from Preschool all the way up to High School. I am a strong advocate for children with special needs. I have many years of experience working in schools with a strong special education program.

My all-time favorite people in the world are my two precious children and my loving husband. We enjoy family game night and watching movies together. I have a house full of pets as well, as animals are another love of mine! Every day, as often as possible I love to surround myself with wonderful people who I can grow with and learn from and most importantly just produce as much love in the world as I possibly can!

Keta was born and raised right here in the state of Georgia. She worked in the nursery at her church for three years.  She has some medical background as is she is a medical Assistant and worked in that profession for 14 plus years.  Keta has a husband (Donald)and three kids Savanna (5) Rhegan (6) DJ (18) and Tierra (23).  In her spare time, she loves shopping, trying new restaurants, movies and traveling. 

Samantha is originally from the beautiful state of Michigan and has been living in Georgia for the last 15 years. She was a nanny for 10 years until she had children of her own. Her daughter Blaire (7) attended the WEE program from 2’s – Kindergarten and Collin (5). Samantha enjoys spending time outside, warm weather and attending soccer games, GO United! 

Margaret started subbing for the WEE program in 2015, and we were excited to have her full time starting in the 2016-2017 school year. She has experience working in our 1’s, 2’s and 3’s classes. Margaret started her career with an education from Kennesaw State in paralegal work, and later decided she wanted to work with children.
Not only is Margaret a true Georgia Peach, but she is also a native of the Mableton/Austell area, born and raised! She loves to spend time with her children and 8 grandchildren. When she is not with family, she likes to read, color, and work jigsaw puzzles. When asked what she likes about teaching, she stated that she loves how inquisitive children are and that they are always eager to learn. 

Martha is no stranger to the WEE program as she has been with the program when it first started as a Mother’s Morning Out program in 2001. Since then, Martha has been a teacher in all ages and has loved on more children than we can count. Ms. Martha is a great resource to this church and WEE community, and we wouldn’t be able to run our school without her. Ms. Martha can be found in the office laminating, copying or cutting out supplies or in a classroom getting her hands dirty in play dough and sensory bins alongside of the kids. Ms. Martha loves each and every kid and says summer is her least favorite months as she is not at school around the kids. 

Melodee was born and raised in the Marietta area. She’s been married for 46 years to her husband Ronnie.  She has two children, Matthew age 36 and Amanda age 43.  She has four grandchildren that she’s very active in their lives.  She has a Secretarial/Business Degree and worked in sales, as an Executive Secretary, an Printing Conference Event Planner and for 29 years as an In Home Childcare Provider.   She attends Mt Harmony Baptist Church with her son’s family.  She loves to cross stitch, play games, cook and shop!

 She loves children and loves to watch them grow and learn.  She loves to find new and creative ways to teach children what they need to know to help them be prepared for their little lives. She’s looking forward to meeting her new little ones coming up and continuing watching her Little’s from last year grow and learn!

Hello, I’m Nicole Scott, this is my 6th year with Mt. Harmony WEE. I started off as a substitute teacher, I worked with K4 for 3 years. This is my 3^nd year working with kindergarten. I have a 11-year-old daughter (Isabella) who attended WEE through kindergarten, and now is in 5th grade.  In my spare time I’m usually at a softball practice/game or spending time with family and friends.  

This is Ms. Marcy's second year teaching here at the WEE school. She was a preschool teacher and Team Supervisor at a large preschool in Orlando, Florida for 31 years. During that time, she taught music during summer camp for several summers. When she moved to Smyrna 6 years ago after retiring, she started a music program at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church where she taught for 2 years. Marcy has a CDA in Early Childhood. She is very excited to have the opportunity to share music and movement with the children in the preschool.

Hello, my name is Grace McAfee. I’m a mother to one son and we love to be outside exploring. My loved ones would tell you I’m a bit of a hippie because I am constantly trying to grow in my sustainability efforts. What they may not tell you is that I love to indulge in reality shows and daily iced coffee.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a concentration in Legal Studies and have spent about a decade as an insurance litigation paralegal. I am so excited to hang up the courtroom blazers and start making messes and being a part of building the educational foundation for all precious students!

Alyssa was born and raised in Statesboro, Georgia and has lived in Mableton for almost a decade. She is wife to Aaron and mama to Asher (9) and Addy (7). She holds a Bachelor degree in Nursing from Georgia Southern University (Go Eagles!) and has worked with children from newborns through preschoolers in volunteer and church ministry capacities for many years. She loves reading, iced coffee, and spending time with family and friends. Both of her children attended Mt. Harmony WEE through Kindergarten and she has previously served in roles of Room Mom and substitute teacher. She believes that it truly takes a village to raise children and loves that WEE partners with families to provide a safe and loving environment for young children to learn and grow. She is excited to join the WEE team as a 2’s teacher this school year! 

Hello, my name is Tamika Hammell, this is my first-year teaching at Mt.Harmony. I have over 15 years of experience in Preschool and enjoy getting to know each child individual throughout my time with them. I have 3 children and 2 grandkids. My hobbies include walking, reading, and taking my grandchildren to the park. I look forward to a wonderful school year!

This is Peyton's first year teaching at Mt. Harmony WEE in the four's classroom. She hopes to attain a degree in Early Childhood Education and knows she will gain knowledge and insight into the education field working here at the WEE school. She can't wait to share in her student's excitement and curiosity.
