Wee school

Welcome to Mt. Harmony Baptist Church's Weekday Early Education (WEE) program. We understand that selecting your child's preschool program is an important decision, so we have provided some information to help you make a qualified decision on whether our WEE program is the best fit for your child.

Our program started over 30 years ago as a "Mother's Morning Out" program, and it has turned in to a program that is focused on impacting your child's overall development.

In its current structure, the WEE program is self-funded and the program is guided by the A Beka Curriculum which includes the addition of Art and Music for the Pre-K age group.

Again, thank you for your interest in the WEE School. If you would like additional information or to schedule a tour, please contact us at (770) 874-7493 or email us wee@mtharmony.org.

Age Criteria

Age Criteria
1 1 year old on or before September 1st, must be able to walk without assistance, eat table food, and able to drink out of a sippy cup.
2 2 years old on or before September 1st, must be able to walk without assistance, eat table food, and able to drink out of a sipply cup.
3 3 years old on or before September 1st and must be potty trained.
4 4 years old on or before September 1st and must be potty trained.
K5 5 years old on or before September 1st and must be potty trained.

We follow the same age requirements as Cobb County Schools. Children may be placed in classes other than these criteria only with the approval of the Director, the child's parents, and the receiving teacher. This placement would only be considered for placing a child in a younger class and would be appropriate for children with disabilities or other situations that have slowed their development.

Potty Trained: Children must be able to use the bathroom independently, which includes: being comfortable asking or identifying when to use the restroom without reminders, pulling pants up/down, and capable of wiping independently. We understand accidents happen, but frequent or multiple accidents in a day are indications a child is not completely potty trained. Parents will be notified if their child is not regularly in control of his/her bathroom needs.

our mission

Our mission is to nurture and develop each child's relationship with God. We believe that each child is a gift from God, and we are committed to the emotional, physical, mental, social, and spiritual development of every child. We create a firm foundation in both academic and Christian teaching by being compassionate to each child's needs in a cooperative learning environment that emphasizes love, respect, and sharing.

With Christ as our cornerstone, we strive to foster an early love for learning and a lifelong love for God, Christ, and biblical teaching.
